The giant stone was found in the Sakyin region, Medaya Township in Mandalay Division. The draft sculpture was carried through the Ayeyarwaddy river down to Yangon. Then it was finally touched up. The sculpting and the enshrining got completed in 2008 and located in Insein, Yangon.• White Elephant House – next to the Kyauktawgyi Pagoda is the White Elephant House. It is said that white elephants bring peace, stability and prosperity to the nation. When these three white elephants were discovered in Rakhine State and they were brought to Yangon on 2002 to be protected and visited by the public. “The white elephants represent peace and weath. Some characteristics of white elephants are the pearl eyes, white hoofs, the back which hangs down like the bough of a banana tree, the white hairs on the body and tail, and the tah gah paik (closed door) shaped tail.Chaukhtat Gyi Pagoda – third largest reclining Buddha image in Myanmar with a length of 72 meters long.Lunch at a local restaurant.• After lunch, visit Bogyoke Market - this popular market in downtown area offers a good selection of gem stones, traditional fabric & costumes, handicrafts, arts & paintings, souvenirs, etc. Bargain …bargain…bargain before buying something. In the event when tour dates coincide with the market holidays, we will arrange a suitable activity.) Thereafter, make your way to The Great Shwedagon Pagoda. • Shwedagon Pagoda -this 98-meter gilded stupa is Myanmar's Holiest Buddhist Shrine that contains relics of the past four Buddhas.
